The 4K, Blu-ray Ultra HD set Arrives June 8^th

The Release: In honor of Raider of the Lost Ark celebrating its 40^th anniversary this year, all four films are available together in 4K Ultra HD with Dolby Vision and HDR-10. Each film has been meticulously remastered from a 4K scans of the original negatives with extensive visual effects work done as well. All picture work was approved by Steven Spielberg.

 In addition, the all four films were remixed by Skywalker Sound under the supervision of the legendary sound designer Ben Burtt to create the Dolby Atmos soundtracks. All Original sound elements were used to achieve the filly immersive Dolby Atmos mixes while staying true to each film’s original intent.

The packaging leaves much to be desired, with flimsy cardboard and a trifold booklet that houses the discs themselves, there is another release that holds the steelbooks of each film.

The Review: From Raiders to Crystal Skull, there is one thing that unites these films and that is of course, adventure. Whether he’s raiding tombs, punching Nazi’s, or being chased around the globe, Indiana Jones has brought joy to audiences the world over. One of Spielberg’s best attributes as a director is conveying that sense of childlike wonder and discovery. Because of that the nostalgia here is tangible.

Spielberg and Lucas created one of the best characters, tapping into the part in all of us that wants to find buried treasure.

With the picture and sound enhancements, this is a 4K upgrade that is absolutely necessary for any collection.

Special Features: the Indiana Jones 4-Movie Collection includes a collectible booklet with behind-the-scenes images from all four films. Each film is presented on 4K Ultra HD Bly-ray Disc with original theatrical trailers and access to digital copies. The set also includes a Bly-ray with seven hours of previously released bonus content:
