While this film shot for epic and missed, it did not miss by much. Thoroughly entertaining and a solid adventure. Murphy, Gleeson, and Whishaw all turn in great performances but Holland and Hemsworth are the real stars here. The overdone effects can take you out of it a bit here and there but overall this is a finely crafted “American epic” that shouldn’t be missed due to poor reception.
